Zackary Chaulk

Zackary Chaulk has had a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Zackary is currently the Chief Privacy Officer and Head of Product at SiftMed, a role they have held since March 2023. Prior to that, they were the CPO and Director of Engineering at SiftMed from January 2022 to March 2023.

From 2017 to 2022, Chaulk worked at Verafin, starting as a Software Developer from September 2017 to January 2019, and then transitioning to the role of Product Manager from January 2019 to January 2022.

Before joining Verafin, Chaulk worked at MDA as a Junior Software Engineer, where they worked on the GPD project, wrote scripts in Perl, and maintained builds using Jenkins. Zackary was with MDA from August 2015 to September 2017.

Additionally, Chaulk gained experience at MERLIN as a Computer Engineer, where they worked with C++ and QML programming languages, created tools for storing and viewing sonar image metadata, and developed geospatial databases using SQL, Python, and Bash scripts. This role lasted from September 2014 to December 2014.

Chaulk began their career at Alcatel-Lucent as a Software Designer, working with Java and XML programming languages on the SAM 5620 project. Zackary worked there from January 2014 to April 2014.

During their co-op terms, Chaulk worked at GRI Simulations Inc. as a Co-op Engineering Student, where they created Dynamic-Link Libraries and soldered and wired controllers for the ROV Simulator. This co-op position lasted from April 2013 to August 2013.

Zackary also completed co-op terms at Verafin as an Engineering Student and Software Engineering Co-op Student in 2012. In these roles, they created designs for projects and added new features to applications.

Overall, Chaulk has gained comprehensive experience in various programming languages and has held leadership positions in product management and privacy at SiftMed.

Zackary Chaulk obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland, completing their education from 2010 to 2015. Additionally, they received a certification in Serverless and Microservices for AWS from LinkedIn in 2022.
