Christopher Sims

Christopher Sims has held a variety of positions in the tech industry since 1998. Theircareer began as a SCADA Systems Analyst for the City of Sylacauga, Alabama Utilities Board. In 1999, they became the Executive Coordinator for Bates Enterprises, Inc., where they managed a million-dollar IT budget and built a team of marketing and sales personnel. In 2007, they joined NHS Management, LLC. as a Senior Software Specialist, where they worked with the Chief Nursing Officer, the Chief Financial Officer and the Director of Accounts Receivable to build integrated solutions. In 2009, they became the Project Manager for the Center for Advanced Public Safety at the University of Alabama, where they developed strategic initiatives and grew from a single project to over 12 projects totaling in $1.45 million dollars in research expenditures. In 2014, they joined Sigao Studios as President, where they helped organizations challenge their assumptions and build great teams and products. In 2019, they became a Partner Coach for Scrum Inc. and in 2021 they became the CEO of CAVU.

Christopher Sims completed their education history with a Management Information Systems, General degree from The University of Alabama, and prior to that they attended Sylacauga High School. In addition, they have obtained numerous certifications from The University of Alabama College of Continuing Studies, Agile Education by Scrum Inc.\u2122, and other institutions, including a Project Management Certificate from The University of Alabama in 2013, and Registered Product Owner\u2122, Registered Scrum Master\u2122, Registered Scrum Trainer\u2122, Registered Scrum@Scale Practitioner\u2122, and Registered Scrum@Scale Trainer\u2122 certifications from Agile Education by Scrum Inc.\u2122 in 2020, 2019, and 2020, respectively.
