Alexander Patterson IV has over 10 years of experience in the vision engineering and research field. From 2007 to 2008, they were a research intern at GE, where they evaluated laser scanning methods for inspection of power generator stator bar parts and developed and proposed an automatic laser scan alignment procedure. From 2008 to 2009, they were a vision consultant at Provideon LLC, where they implemented, tested, and troubleshot stereo calibration for a Tier I automotive supplier. From 2009 to 2011, they were a vision researcher at KJ Vision, where they designed and implemented a pan/tilt scan-head software for real time 3D mapping and data fusion of stereo cameras and laser scan data. From 2011 to 2013, they were a vision engineer at KAPOU S.A. GEOINFORMATICS, where they helped develop hardware capture for a real time scanning system and designed and implemented a calibration solution for acquiring city scale georeferenced stereo image data. From 2013 to present, they have been a senior vision engineer at SightLogix.

Alexander Patterson IV obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014. Alexander also received a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007 and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004.
