Lesley Smeardon

Lesley Smeardon is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in organizational communications, having served as the Head of Organisational Communications and Head of Communications at Sightsavers since June 2019. Prior roles include Head of Internal Services at Visionary and Schools Programme Manager at Parentkind. Smeardon has also held leadership positions at Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor, VSA, and worked as a freelance writer/editor. Additional experience includes roles as Publications Manager at Friends of the Earth and the National Autistic Society, along with a tenure as Communications Manager at CoastNet. Smeardon holds an MSc in Environmental Management from the University of London, a postgraduate degree in Communication and Media Studies from Exeter College of Art and Design, and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Warwick.
