Angshuman Bagchi

Angshuman Bagchi has had a long and successful career in software engineering. Angshuman began their professional career in 2004 as a Graduate Research Assistant at Boston University, where they completed their thesis on a Clustered Data Association Technique for Ecological Monitoring. In 2006, they joined Bloomberg as a Financial Software Developer and Senior Software Developer, working on the back-end of a new Equity Valuation application and deploying a new product in the Bloomberg Terminal. In 2013, they joined MongoDB as a Technical Services Engineer, Senior Technical Services Engineer, and Lead, Platforms & Tools. In this role, they were responsible for technical issues, architectural review, alpha/beta testing, performance optimization, and production outages for strategic enterprise customers. Angshuman was also a leader and mentor, heavily involved in recruiting and growing the team. Angshuman Bagchi is currently an Engineering Manager at Sigma Computing (hiring!).

Angshuman Bagchi completed their Master of Arts in Computer Science from Boston University between 2004 and 2006. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani between 1999 and 2004. During the same period, they also obtained a Master of Science in Economics from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
