Michael Macfadden

Michael MacFadden has a strong background in technology and leadership roles. Michael is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Sigma Defense Systems LLC. Prior to that, they served as a Board of Directors member at ThrivSports, providing technical and business advising. In 2016, Michael founded Convergence Labs, where they successfully built and delivered a collaborative application development platform. Before that, they held the position of Chief Technology Officer at SOLUTE, Inc., where they played a key role in developing and driving the company's technical vision. Earlier in their career, Michael was a Senior Software Development Manager at Tomax and a Senior Software Engineer at Red Oak Software.

Michael MacFadden is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cyber Operations at Dakota State University, with an expected completion in 2025. Michael previously obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Software Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. In addition to their academic achievements, Michael has also obtained certifications as a Certified Flight Instructor, Remote Pilot, and Commercial Aircraft Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration.
