Valorie L.

Valorie L. has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Valorie began their career in 1983 at Rocky Flats Plant / Rocky Flats Environmental Site, where they held various positions related to nuclear material control, accountability, and security. Valorie then joined SAIC in 1997 as a Security Specialist, where they were involved in security changes during a nuclear facility shutdown and conducted self-assessments. In 2002, Valorie joined Los Alamos National Security, where they held multiple roles, including Security Specialist and Emergency Planning Specialist. Valorie supervised teams and participated in the development and maintenance of emergency planning programs. Valorie also served as Acting Deputy Group Leader for the Emergency Planning and Analysis Group. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Group Leader for Nuclear Material Control and Accountability at Triad, managing operations related to nuclear materials for weapons production and experimentation. In 2020, Valorie took a break from their professional career but returned to work in 2021 as an Operations Subject Matter Expert at Sigma Science, Inc., reviewing classified documentation and conducting research. Valorie currently holds the position of Subject Matter Expert II, supporting the Material Recovery and Recycle Program at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and providing research and consulting information for various projects.

Valorie L. began their education at the University of Denver from 1988 to 1991, where they studied Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management. In 1996, they attended The Art Institutes and obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Fashion Marketing. From 1977 to 1981, Valorie L. pursued their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching at the University of Northern Colorado. Valorie L. also obtained a Webmaster Certificate in Web/Multimedia Management and Webmaster from Regis University, although the specific dates are not provided.

In addition to their formal education, Valorie L. received certification in COVID-19 Contact Tracing from Coursera in June 2020.
