Steve Sedaker

SVP, Automotive at SigmaSense

Steve Sedaker, a co-founder of SigmaSense, has served as their CMO since the company’s founding in February 2015. Mr. Sedaker’s successes are numerous and is widely known in the industry for his outstanding technical and business support of customers. Before SigmaSense, he provided business development expertise to Interactive Display Systems (IDS), Quantum Interface and Scriptel. Mr. Sedaker joined Scriptel full time in the role of Director of Strategic Marketing, where he leads Scriptel’s on-line marketing, product strategy, and partnership activities. In 2011 he joined VIA Optronics as Director of Sales, where he was instrumental in the company’s move to integrating with new touch sensor technologies such as metal mesh. In 2001 Mr. Sedaker joined Wacom to lead OEM sales in the US. He built Wacom’s business from zero, winning key customer designs and managing relationships with numerous large OEMs. In 1998 Mr. Sedaker was VP of Sales and Marketing for Rainbow Displays, his first startup. He went to Intel in 2000 in a similar role on a team that was tasked with spinning out of Intel, bringing large format OLED screens to market. In 1987, Mr. Sedaker joined Sharp’s Microelectronics team to lead marketing and was key in winning Sharp’s first major LCD design win with Compaq, and followed this success with IBM and Apple. Mr. Sedaker later tasked with leading Sharp’s early entry into automotive. Simultaneously, he managed Sharp’s US Field Application Engineer team, and his final role at Sharp was Director of Business Development. He has a BSEE from the University of Akron. Mr. Sedaker’s training as an engineer, and his extensive successes in sales and marketing, make him ideally suited to lead their customer-facing efforts at SigmaSense.

Steve has gained a reputation as a capable manager and catalyst for rapid business growth.
