Gustavo Mosquera

Gustavo Mosquera has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Gustavo started their career at CORPOELEC as a Thermo-Electric Plant Operator, where they supervised turbines, electricity generators, boilers, and auxiliary systems. At ZUPLA C.A., they worked as a Process & Maintenance Engineer, focusing on plastic thermo-former installation, process and production support, and maintenance planning. Gustavo then moved to MANICA as a Project Engineer, before joining Phoenix Packaging Group as a Process Engineer, where they were responsible for new equipment installation, maintenance crew support, and project development.

At Boston Scientific, Gustavo worked as an Intern in the Supplier Component Engineering Team. Gustavo then joined UMass Lowell as a Research Assistant, operating compounding extruders for plastic research and performing lab tests. Gustavo continued their research assistant role and also worked as a Research Assistant, conducting lab tests to characterize material properties of ASTM samples.

Gustavo joined Miniature Precision Components as a Product Engineer, specializing in new product launches, legacy product engineering, and manufacturing support. Gustavo also gained experience working on oil caps, oil fill tubes, check valves, and PCV valves for automobile engines.

Most recently, Gustavo has been working at SIGMASOFT Virtual Molding. Gustavo started as a Project Engineer and progressed to Senior Project Engineer, where they managed 14 accounts, conducted injection molding analysis, and promoted customer growth through visits and activities. Gustavo then became the Operations Manager, overseeing customer support, engineering projects, and software implementation. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Operations, responsible for coordinating, organizing, and supervising the company's activities, with a focus on promoting customer growth through the Solutions Center and mentoring new staff.

Throughout their career, Gustavo has demonstrated a strong technical background, project management skills, and a customer-oriented approach.

Gustavo Mosquera obtained an Associate's Degree in Thermo-electric Plants from INCE in 2002. Gustavo then pursued an Engineer's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacín from 1999 to 2004. Later, from 2005 to 2009, they earned a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from Universidad del Zulia. In 2011, Gustavo enrolled in the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Plastics Engineering in 2012. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Plastic Processing from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in June 2012.
