Mayur Rustagi

Mayur Rustagi is the CTO and co-founder of Sigmoid. Mayur previously worked as a developer at Adobe Systems from May 2009 to April 2013. At Adobe, they led a cross-geo team of individual contributers delivering on Big Data infrastructure and solutions to the Consumer Analytics division for products like Photoshop Elements, Revel, and Photoshop Express.

Mayur delivered a batch data platform based on Apache Hadoop, Apache Pig and Hive. Mayur also built a data processing pipeline that delivered cooked data to data scientists and internal business users. In addition, they delivered a real time processing platform for evaluating machine learning models and rules against interaction data for end users who were currently interacting with client systems. Mayur created a distributed store for fetching/retaining/processing interaction data from across multiple platforms/channels. Lastly, they delivered a low-latency processing platform for computing data aggregates/counters against interaction data. The processed information was fed into an internal reporting infrastructure.

The technologies they used included Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon EMR, Apache Hadoop, Hive, Apache Pig, HDFS, Hudson, and MySQL.

Mayur Rustagi has completed a Master of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Mayur also has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the same school. Prior to that, they completed their AISSCE (Class/Grade 12) in Science from Delhi Public School - R. K. Puram.

Mayur Rustagi reports to Lokesh Anand, CEO & co-Founder. They work with Rahul Kumar Singh - Co-Founder and Chief Analytics Officer, Natalie Lackey - VP of Sales & Growth.
