Since August 2020, Floyd has been consulting, focusing on surface release and granting easements, with an emphasis on developing equivalencies to reduce reabandonment costs and minimize abandonment risks. Prior to consulting, Floyd held an engineering position at Signal Hill Petroleum, Inc., and served as a regulatory engineer at the DOGGR Division of Oil and Gas from May 1985 to May 2006.
