Ellen Blix joined SignalFire in 2020 to lead the investor relations effort. Prior to SignalFire, Ellen was a Managing Director at Commonfund Capital, the private capital arm of Commonfund, where she focused on business development and relationship management across the United States and Canada. Ellen was previously a Vice President at BlackRock for six years, where she was an investment strategist for the Institutional iShares business with a focus on endowments, foundations, non-profit healthcare systems and pension plans.
Earlier in her career, Ellen was an investment banker at Lehman Brothers and Wasserstein Perella & Co., both in New York, where she specialized in liability management and restructuring advisory, respectively.
Ellen received a S.B. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Biology and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business school in Finance. While at MIT, she was a four-year member of the varsity women’s crew team. She currently serves at the board treasurer for the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco and as a member of the investment committee for the Foundation for California Community Colleges.
