Sue Popely, MBA, has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Sue is currently serving as the Director of Laboratory Services at Signature Health, Inc. Since joining Lake Health in 1991, Sue has held various roles, including Manager of Laboratory Informatics, Clinical Support Analyst, and Laboratory Manager. In their capacity as Laboratory Manager, they managed operations, staff, and budget, and also served as the project manager for the construction and opening of a new Medical Campus. Prior to joining Lake Health, Sue worked as a Medical Technologist at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Sue Popely, MBA, completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Lake Erie College in the years 2013 to 2016. Prior to pursuing their MBA, they attended PennWest Clarion from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Medical Technology. During their time at PennWest Clarion, they also studied Biology/Biological Sciences, General, although it is unclear if they obtained a specific degree in this field.

AGENCY OVERVIEW Founded in 1993, Signature Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing mental health, addiction recovery, primary care, infectious disease, pharmacy and lab services to patients of all ages. With 10 outpatient and residential locations in three Northeast Ohio counties (Ashtabula, Cuyahoga and Lake), Signature Health primarily serves Medicaid and Medicare patients and offers a sliding fee scale based on household income for patients without insurance.
