Tara Ramey has over two decades of diverse experience in the healthcare industry. Tara began their career as a Staff Nurse at Mountian Empire Dialysis Center in 1997, before transitioning to Frontier Health as a Substance Abuse/Mental Health Case Manager in 1999. Tara then worked as a Charge/Staff Nurse at Lewis Gale Hospital from 2002 to 2006. Tara joined Nova Pro Staffing as a Travel Nurse in 2006, where they gained valuable experience before becoming a Charge/Staff Nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital from 2007 to 2009. Tara then took on the role of Living Donor Coordinator at University of Maryland Medical Center from 2009 to 2012. Tara continued their career as a Nurse Educator at Johns Hopkins Hospital from 2012 to 2016, and later at the American Psychiatric Nurses Association from 2016 to 2018. Tara then served as the Director of Nursing at Creekside Behavioral Health from 2018 to 2019. Most recently, Tara has been working at Signet Health, where they initially held the position of Program Director from 2019 to 2020 and currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Clinical Services.

Tara Ramey's education history begins in 2000 when they attended The University of Virginia's College at Wise and obtained a BSN degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse in 2002. In 2008 to 2009, Tara Ramey pursued a Business of Nursing Certificate at The Johns Hopkins University. Tara then continued their education in 2012 to 2015 at the University of Maryland School of Nursing, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Health Services Leadership and Management. From 2017 to 2021, Tara Ramey attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where they obtained a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in the Nursing- Executive Track field of study. In terms of additional certifications, Tara Ramey earned a Nurse Professional Development certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2014. Furthermore, they completed a Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC) certification from the same institution in August 2022.
