Chao CHEN

Chao Chen is a seasoned IP practitioner with twelve years of experience in patent law, trademark law, trade secret protection, and competition law. They began their career as a Patent Attorney at King & Wood Mallesons, where they handled patent drafting, invalidation, and infringement analysis. Following this, Chao served as an IP Specialist and Counselor at Saint-Gobain, and later as an IP Manager and Senior IP Counsel at Webasto Group, contributing to corporate IP strategies and supervising external legal teams. Currently, Chao holds the position of IP Counsel and Licensing Director at Signify, while also pursuing their Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Microelectronics & Solid State Electronics, respectively.
