Gary Yen is an experienced IP Counsel currently at Signify, a global leader in lighting, where responsibilities include advising on intellectual property matters since May 2018. Previously, Gary served as IP Counsel at Philips Lighting and held associate positions at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP and Kenyon & Kenyon LLP, focusing on patent litigation in electronics and telecommunications. Gary has also taught legal writing at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and worked as a research assistant and engineer in various technical fields. Gary earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
