Mike Simpson Freng

Mike Simpson FREng is a distinguished professional in the field of lighting design, currently serving as Global Application Lead at Signify since May 2018. With extensive experience spanning several decades, Mike held similar roles at Philips from 2015 to 2018 and contributed significantly as Technical & Design Director at Philips Lighting from 2003 to 2015. Mike's leadership includes serving as President of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the Society of Light and Lighting. Notably, Mike was awarded fellowship of the Royal Academy of Engineering and honored as an Honorary Fellow of Rose Bruford College. Educationally, Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Lighting from London South Bank University.
