Rashed Rahman, PhD, is a Senior Hardware Electrical Engineer at Signify since January 2022, where Rashed leads the development of hardware systems and electrical designs for IoT lighting products. Previously, Rashed served as a Graduate Research Assistant at MORSE Lab, Georgia State University from August 2017 to March 2022, contributing to projects on Optical and Visible Light Communication systems, including NSF funded collaborations that focused on network architecture and high-speed mobile VLC systems. Rashed also completed a research internship at CableLabs, working on coherent Free Space Optical communication systems, and held the position of Electrical Engineer at Sanofi, focusing on maintenance and calibration of electrical and mechanical installations. Rashed holds a PhD and an MS in Computer Science from Georgia State University and a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology.
