Rene Wegh has extensive experience in the fields of display technology and lighting systems, having worked as a Senior Scientist at Philips from November 1999 to April 2006, where project leadership involved LCD displays and medical imaging technologies. Following this role, Rene served as a Project Manager at Philips Lighting, focusing on pre-development projects for LED lighting systems. Since February 2016, Rene has been a Principal Scientist at Signify, leading research on light sources and contributing to various innovation projects while organizing the light sources community. Rene holds a Master's degree in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Solid State Chemistry, both obtained from Utrecht University.
