Samir Barucija

Samir Barucija is an experienced professional in cloud engineering, research and development, and project management within technology companies. As the Head of Cloud Center of Excellence and Head of R&D for Retail and Hospitality at Signify from November 2017 to September 2023, Samir led initiatives focused on operational excellence and strategic technology roadmaps across various domains. Prior to that, Samir held several leadership roles at Philips, including Head of R&D for Smart Buildings and Director of Cloud Engineering, where significant improvements in project execution and team expansion were achieved. Earlier experience at Sony Mobile Communications and Orange involved strategic planning, cloud standardization, and data warehouse implementation. Samir Barucija holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University and another Bachelor's Degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Science from the University of Banja Luka.
