Long-Ji Lin

Long-Ji Lin has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of data science and technology. Long-Ji started their career at Yahoo Inc in 1998, where they led a team and developed systems and tools to support online advertising and user understanding. Long-Ji then joined NexTag Inc in 2006 as an Architect & Director, where they focused on developing optimization algorithms for the comparison shopping website. In 2008, Long-Ji Lin returned to Yahoo Inc as a Principal Scientist, where they developed algorithms and models for ad serving and revenue optimization.

In 2010, Long-Ji Lin became the Chief Scientist at Kindsight Inc, leading a team and developing online ad targeting and optimization technologies. Long-Ji then joined Rocket Fuel Inc in 2011 as the Chief Scientist, where they built and led a team, developing models and systems for optimizing campaign performance based on Real-Time Bidding (RTB). This work resulted in a significant improvement in campaign ROI and contributed to the company's successful IPO.

In 2015, Long-Ji Lin co-founded YosemiteCloud Co., Ltd., where they served as the Co-founder and CTO. Long-Ji secured funding and built an international team, focusing on big data and machine learning platforms with applications in the Chinese advertising markets. Most recently, Long-Ji Lin joined Signifyd in 2017 as the Chief Scientist. Here, they built a team and developed systems and models to predict and prevent online transaction frauds for thousands of merchants. Long-Ji'swork resulted in increased productivity of data scientists, reduced fraud losses, and the development of optimization algorithms for managing loss rates.

Long-Ji Lin holds a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
