Masanori (Markie) Tamura

Masanori (Markie) Tamura has a wealth of experience in the biotechnology and skincare industry. Masanori (Markie) started their career at ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. in 2003, where they worked as the Chief R&D Formulator of skincare for the HADA LABO brand. During their time there, they developed over 60 formulas, including the highly successful Hada Labo Moisturizing Lotion. In 2011, they took on the role of Product Innovation Leader and DE/OU at ROHTO Pharmaceutical.

In 2012, Tamura joined The Mentholatum Company as the Marketing Manager of HADA LABO TOKYO. Masanori (Markie) was responsible for managing marketing strategies for HADA LABO, a leading skincare brand in Japan, as well as other products in the company's portfolio.

From 2016, Tamura has been working at Signum Biosciences, Inc. Initially starting as the Director of Product Development, they later advanced to the position of Vice President of Product Development. Signum Biosciences is a biotechnology company focused on developing small-molecule therapeutics, including cosmetic functional ingredients, dermatological drugs, and neurodegenerative therapeutics.

Masanori Tamura, also known as Markie, has a comprehensive education history. Masanori (Markie) obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University at Buffalo, spanning from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree at The University of Tokyo between the years 2001 and 2003. Masanori (Markie)'sfield of study during this time was Materials Science. Markie's educational journey commenced at Kyoto University, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Physical Chemistry from 1997 to 2001.
