Elliot Sussman

Elliot Jay Sussman, MD, MBA has been helping to transform The Villages® into "America's Healthiest Hometown" as Chairman of The Villages Health (TVH). Dr. Sussman served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) from 1993 through 2010. Dr. Sussman was Associate Dean of the Biological Sciences Division and the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago from 1988 - 1993. At the University of Pennsylvania, he was Associate Professor of Medicine and Associate Administrator at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is the past-Chair of the Board of the American Association of Medical Colleges and a past-Chair of the Council of Teaching Hospitals. In addition to serving on the Board of SPI, he serves as a director of Universal Health Services Inc. and as a Trustee of Yale New Haven Health System. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MD from Harvard University, and a BA from Yale University.
