Danny Bounds

Danny Bounds, J.D., currently serves as the Manager of Education Technology Policy at SIIA since December 2022. Prior to this role, Danny was the Federal Programs Ombudsman at the Tennessee Department of Education from May 2020 to December 2022 and worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Rutherford County Circuit Court, where responsibilities included managing court operations and drafting judicial opinions. Additionally, Danny has experience as a Law Clerk at McCarter | East PLLC and Archibald & Halmon, P.C., assisting with legal research and trial preparation. Early legal experience includes roles at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, Shelby County Government, and internships focused on education reform and leadership development at the University of Georgia and the University of Tennessee. Danny holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis, a Master’s in Higher Education from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor's in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University.
