Tim Childress

Tim Childress is currently the Chief Financial Officer at SIIA, leading financial operations, strategy, and performance since January 2024. Previously, Tim served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, where strategic business transformation and new operating models were developed from February 2018 to September 2023. As Chief Financial Officer at Rare from June 2015 to December 2017, Tim focused on financial resilience for an environmental conservation nonprofit. Prior experience includes Global Controller at Population Services International, where management of a large finance team and compliance oversight were key responsibilities, and Director & Global Controller at FINCA International, specializing in restructuring. Tim’s early career features roles in finance leadership at Accenture, Global Knowledge, and Overture Services, with a relevant academic background from Arizona State University, holding a BS in Accounting.
