Vijay Raman

Vijay Raman is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the construction chemicals industry. Currently serving as Area Manager for South Asia at Sika since October 2023, Vijay also holds the position of Regional Head of Mergers and Acquisition for APAC. Prior to Sika, Vijay worked at MBCC Group as Senior Vice President for Construction Chemicals in Asia Pacific from July 2020 to September 2023, contributing to one of the leading global suppliers after its emergence from BASF’s Construction Chemicals business. Vijay has held various strategic roles at BASF from 2007 to 2020, including Managing Director of Construction Chemicals in South Asia and multiple director-level positions spanning strategy, marketing, and business segments. Additionally, Vijay served on the board of DSB (German School Mumbai) from November 2018 to December 2021. Academically, Vijay holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University, a post-doctoral degree in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Strasbourg, and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Anna University Chennai.
