Alex Whitfield

Alex Whitfield is a seasoned IT professional with a robust background in systems administration and network engineering. Currently serving as a Staff Systems Administrator at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc. since August 2021, Alex has proficiently designed and implemented a cloud-based identity provider, integrating SaaS inventory with SSO using SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect. Previously, as an Information Technology Manager at Mosaic, Alex supported a global workforce of over 300 employees, overseeing onboarding, network infrastructure maintenance, and compliance with SOC1 Type 2 Certification. Alex's early experience includes roles at NetXperts as a Wireless Network Engineer, Diebold in contract administration, and Pepsi Bottling Group as an HR intern. Educationally, Alex holds an Associate of Science in Network and Systems Administration from DeVry University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University - East Bay.
