John Paul Gabriel

John Paul Gabriel has over 30 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. John Paul is currently the SVP, Chief Technical Operations Officer at Silence Therapeutics plc. Previously, they held senior leadership positions at companies like Ocugen, Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc., Roche Pharmaceuticals, Genentech, Wyeth Biotech, and Sanofi Pasteur Limited. John Paul'sroles have included overseeing technical operations, manufacturing, supply, biologics and mRNA manufacturing, quality assurance, and quality site head. John Paul has extensive experience in managing pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, quality systems, and technical support.

John Paul Gabriel has a solid education background with a focus on science and microbiology. John Paul obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Microbiology, General from the University of Guelph, which they attended from 1989 to 2003. In 1984, they completed their General Studies at Ecole Secondaire Etienne Brule, where they obtained a DESO degree.

In terms of additional certifications, John Paul Gabriel has pursued further education to complement their expertise. In 2006, they obtained an Advanced Certificate in Regulatory Affairs from San Diego State University, which they completed in 2007. More recently, they obtained certifications in Drug Discovery from UC San Diego in October 2020 and in The Science and Business of Biotechnology from MITx on edX in August 2020. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to staying updated on current industry practices and expanding their knowledge beyond their formal education.
