Marianna Anesti

Marianna (AnnaMaria) Anesti, PhD, is currently the Vice President of Business Development at Silence Therapeutics plc since March 2024. Prior to this role, Anesti served as Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Business Development at SIGA Technologies from January 2019 to March 2024, where responsibilities included partnering with the CEO and executive leadership team on strategic initiatives and business growth. Anesti's previous experience includes a position as Director of Strategy & Consulting at Pfizer, focusing on R&D business strategies, and Director in Pharma Life Sciences R&D at PwC, leading transformational programs for major biotech and pharmaceutical organizations. Anesti also held roles at BioVex, starting as a Research Scientist in Gene Therapy and advancing to Director of Product & Business Development.
