Victor Melichov

Victor Melichov has worked in a variety of positions since 2003. Victor began their career as an Electro-Optics Technician for the Israeli Air Force in 2003. In 2009, they became a Software QA Engineer for Applied Materials, where they tested multidisciplinary systems for functionality, quality, UI, load, stress, memory leak, stability, portability, sanity, and regression tests. Victor also developed automatic tests using QTP and VBScript. In 2011, they became a Software Developer for VivoText, where they developed a real-time and optimized TTS engine from scratch using C and C++. In 2012, they became a DSP & Software Engineer for Silentium. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for Verifone, where they were the Technical Lead of software development team in Agile methodology using code reviews, GIT and Jira. Victor designed and developed multi-leveled embedded software of new payment products from scratch, and developed multi-processing and multi-threading applications using C++ under Linux on ARM processor. Victor also developed client's and internal debugging tools using C# .Net, and communication protocols using IPC, Serial Com, TCP/IP, client-server, and HTTPS. Finally, from 2018 to present, they have been a Senior DSP & Software Engineer for Silentium, where they are the Tech Lead of multidisciplinary automotive and headphones projects, designing system architecture, defining the API and requirements, designing software architecture of generic libraries and modules, managing projects tasks and time-scheduler, managing in-house engineers and external vendors. Victor also researches, analyzes, and simulates DSP algorithms using Matlab, and implements ANC algorithms on DSP processors using C and Assembler (Blackfin/Sharc/CEVA/HiFi3).

Victor Melichov received their BSc in Electronics Engineering from the Holon Institute of Technology between 2006 and 2010. Victor then attended Experis Software (formerly Pacific) from 2011 to 2012 for Software Engineering, Real Time and Embedded Developing. Victor is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration - MBA at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, which they began in 2020.
