Paolo Maccario has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Paolo started their career at Nemak S.A. as a Process Engineer and Quality Assurance Manager in 1987. After that, they worked at Teksid Aluminum Foundry as the Quality Assurance and Process Engineering Director from 1988 to 1995, and later became the Director of Operations from 1995 to 1996.
In 1996, Maccario joined Teksid as the President and CEO of Teksid Aluminum Foundry. Paolo held this position until 1999 when they moved to Meridian Lightweight Technologies, serving as the President and CEO from 1999 to 2007.
In 2008, Maccario joined 6N Silicon, a division of Calisolar, as the CEO. Paolo led the company, one of the fastest-growing Canadian manufacturers of high purity solar grade silicon, until 2011.
From 2011 to 2015, Maccario simultaneously held positions at two companies. Paolo was the CEO of Espe Srl's subsidiary, Espe Sunparc America, an organization specializing in developing and installing high-efficient photovoltaic plants in Canada and abroad. Additionally, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Silfab Solar Inc., a vertically-integrated multinational provider of PV products and services based in Italy.
In 2019, Maccario assumed the role of President and CEO at Silfab Solar Inc., where they currently work.
Paolo Maccario pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning with their studies at Politecnico di Torino from 1978 to 1983. During this period, they completed a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Later, in the years 1998 and 1999, Paolo attended Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, wherein they obtained an MBA degree. The field of study for their MBA program is unspecified.
