Tim Brophy

Tim Brophy has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Tim is currently working as a Pre-Seed Advisor at a stealth startup, where they provide advice on fundraising, strategy, marketing, and operations. Prior to this, Tim worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Recruiting Karma, a company that supports underprivileged communities' career development. Before that, they held the same position at OneDegree Careers, a mobile platform that helps career seekers explore and secure skilled opportunities. Tim also co-founded Silicon Beach Investment Group, a seed investment company focused on supporting Southern California founders. Tim has experience in project management and continuous improvement, having worked as a Senior Project Manager at Hoag Health System and as a Project Manager at CBRE. Additionally, Tim has been involved in entrepreneurial advisory roles, including serving as a Strategy and Growth Entrepreneurial Advisor at Dream Catalyst DACA Facilitation. Tim started their career at The Walt Disney Company as an Associate Industrial Engineer, where they worked on various projects related to site development and labor assessment. Tim also has experience in business development and co-founding, having worked as a Business Development Advisor at SafeSleeve, LLC and as a Co-Founder at Common Fibers.

Tim Brophy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Science in Mathematics from the College of the Sequoias, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Tim later pursued a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, studying from 2012 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Tim Brophy has obtained several certifications, including a Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org in January 2018, a Toastmasters Communicator certification from Toastmasters International in September 2017, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2017.
