Steve Turley

Steve Turley is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the technology and optical components sectors. Currently serving as an Advisor at Silicon Catalyst and an Associate and Mentor for Climate and AI streams at Creative Destruction Lab, Steve has a strong background as the Chairman of EFFECT Photonics and as the Director and Founder of 3bridge consultancy, where strategic direction and M&A advice for deep tech businesses are provided. Previously, Steve held the position of CEO at Perpetuum Ltd., leading the development of innovative predictive maintenance solutions for the rail industry, which became part of Hitachi Rail following its acquisition. Additionally, Steve worked as EVP and Company Officer at Bookham Technology, driving sales and strategy, and held the role of VP of Strategic Alliances at Nortel Networks. Steve's academic credentials include a BA in Physics from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Semiconductor Laser Physics from The University of Sheffield.
