James Otieno

James Otieno has extensive experience in nonprofit governance and executive compensation, currently serving on the Board of Directors for Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County and CEN - Center for Excellence in Nonprofits. As a co-founder and board member of PV Tech, Inc., a solar and hybrid energy startup, James has a strong focus on sustainable energy solutions in Africa. Previous roles include Encore Fellow and consultant at Silicon Valley Education Foundation, along with serving on several boards, including Child Advocates of Silicon Valley and Children's Health Council. James has a significant background in executive compensation from a long tenure at Hewlett-Packard, as well as early experience in human resources at Control Data Corporation and Henkel Corporation. James holds multiple degrees, including a Doctor of Humane Letters from Palo Alto University and a Master of Arts from the UMN Carlson School of Management.
