Brian Pyle

Raised in Whittier, California, Brian moved up north to attend Stanford University where he acquired a degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering. Throughout his career, Brian has been able to meet and engage in life-long friendships and describes the best part of his career as being ‘the ability to connect with the great people in this industry’.

As college grew near, Brian knew he wanted to become an engineer, taking his first job as a project engineer at Viron Energy Services (now acquired by Chevron Energy Solutions) in Mountain View, CA, doing performance contracting work, he gained a keen understanding of building systems and how to make them better perform. Now the COO and Partner of SVM, Brian still has a sense of pride and ownership when he sees buildings that he was part of constructing.

Although he takes great pride in developing a team of such talented people and contributing to hundreds of noteworthy buildings throughout the Bay Area – in his ideal world, he would be spending his time travelling the world with his family; giving them the opportunity to learn and experience different cultures and ways of life.
