Silk Road Group
Silk Road Group is Georgia’s leading private investment group, employing over 5,000 people and operating across four main sectors: real estate, telecommunications, energy and transportation. Founded in 1997 by George Ramishvili, SRG has been a leading player in Georgia’s successful transition from Soviet-era stagnation to a modern capitalist economy. Having invested nearly $1bn in the country since its founding, SRG is at the heart of the country’s ever-modernising infrastructure. Our name reflects Georgia’s historical significance as a key juncture in the ancient Silk Road trading routes. Through our investments, we are ensuring Georgia re-establishes its place at the heart of a modern-day Silk Road.
