Matthew P. Posada is an Associate in the Sills Cummis & Gross Real Estate Department. Mr. Posada concentrates his practice in the areas of redevelopment and land use. He also advises private developers on financing methodologies for various projects.

Mr. Posada represents property owners and developers with obtaining residential, commercial and mixed-use land use approvals before municipal and county planning boards and zoning boards of adjustment. He has experience in all aspects of the development approval process, including the review and analysis of site plans, preparation of development applications and notices, and the presentation of applications before municipal and county boards.

In addition, Mr. Posada provides assistance to redevelopers in connection with the redevelopment process. This process entails working closely with municipal government to designate areas in need of redevelopment, adoption of redevelopment plans, negotiation and execution of redevelopment agreements, and the entry of long-term and short-term tax agreements.

Prior to Mr. Posada’s career in private practice, he served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Alvaro L. Iglesias, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Hudson County.

While attending Rutgers University School of Law, Mr. Posada served on the Securities Law Moot Court team and was an active volunteer for the Pro Bono Bankruptcy Project, earning him the Dean’s Pro Bono Award for Exceptional Service.
