Ed Davis, CISSP

Ed Davis, CISSP, has a strong background in IT security and cyber solutions management. Ed most recently worked at SiloSmashers as a Senior IT Security Specialist and Team Lead from November 2019 onwards. Prior to that, they held the same position at DIGITALSPEC, LLC. from July 2018 to November 2019. Ed also has experience as a Cyber Solutions Manager at NucoreVision, Inc. from August 2017 to July 2018, where they worked directly with the CEO and business development team to identify and pursue new cybersecurity opportunities. Ed was responsible for writing and reviewing technical proposals, creating and updating organizational cybersecurity policies and strategies, and delivering security offerings related to cybersecurity. Ed's earlier experience includes working as an Information Security Analyst at SiloSmashers from February 2013 to August 2017, where they supported complex federal IT government systems and led IT security certification efforts for 10 GSA IAE systems. Ed was also an active participant in the GSA IAE modernization effort. Prior to that, Ed served as an Information System Security Officer at Exelis from January 2010 to February 2013. In this role, they reviewed and provided technical comments on FAA ATO Information Systems Authorization & Assessment documents, resolved security vulnerabilities, developed system security plans, and ensured compliance with FAA requirements. Overall, Ed Davis brings a wealth of experience in IT security, cybersecurity, and project management to their roles.

Ed Davis, CISSP holds a Master's degree in MicroElectronics/Photonics from the University of Arkansas. Ed obtained this degree from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering from Norfolk State University, which they completed from 2003 to 2007. In addition to their educational background, Ed Davis also holds a CISSP certification from (ISC)².
