Jacob Ferion

Jacob Ferion has extensive work experience in the field of information technology security. Jacob currently works as an Information Technology Security Specialist at SiloSmashers since 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Information Security Specialist at Aerotek in 2020, where they were responsible for continuous monitoring, system maintenance, and compliance with security protocols. Jacob also served as an Information System Security Officer at Metro Business Systems LLC from 2019 to 2020, where they were responsible for maintaining the security authorization of assigned systems. From 2014 to 2019, Jacob worked as an Information System Security Officer at ZOTECH Inc., specializing in safeguarding information systems and networks in the Intelligence Community. In 2013, they worked as an Oracle Database Administrator at Jelani Consulting, LLC., where they performed database migrations, upgrades, and maintenance tasks.

Jacob Ferion is currently pursuing a degree in Cyber Security at the University of Maryland, which they began in 2016 and is still in progress. Prior to attending the University of Maryland, Jacob attended Montgomery College, where they studied Information Technology. In addition to their academic studies, Jacob has obtained several certifications, such as the CHFI Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator Certification and the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from EC-Council. Jacob has also acquired the CompTIA Security+ certification and the Oracle Database 12c: SQL Fundamentals certification. Furthermore, Jacob has been granted a public trust clearance by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The specific dates of when they obtained these certifications are not provided.
