Omar Avendaño

Omar Avendaño has held various software engineering roles since 2007. Omar started their career at Blu Logistics Latam as an Ingeniero Lider de Desarrollo, where they led meetings with internal clients and was responsible for requirements gathering and development task prioritization. In 2009, they moved to Soluciones .Net as an Ingeniero Lider de Desarrollo, where they led product definition meetings with the company's main client and was responsible for design and development of software modules. In 2011, they joined Ayala Consulting as a Software Senior Engineer. In 2020, they moved to UNODC as a Database Development Specialist. Currently, they are employed at Silver Bullet Technologies, LLC as a Software Engineer, where they design and develops views, functions and stored procedures to implement functionalities of corporate software, analyzes and resolves database system production problems and automates processes for data integration with external systems.

Omar Avendaño has a comprehensive educational background. In 2017, they obtained a Specialist Degree in Database Development from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, with a focus on data modeling and storage/database administration. Omar also obtained an Information Systems Administrator degree from the same university between 1999 and 2004, with a focus on information systems management. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Docker Essential from LinkedIn in August 2020, GitHub for Programmers from LinkedIn in August 2020, JavaScript: TDD and Essential Unit Tests from LinkedIn in August 2020, DevOps with a Coffee from LinkedIn in July 2020, Designing Web Pages with Bootstrap 4 from Coursera in July 2020, Fundamentals of Time Management from LinkedIn in June 2020, Project Management with a Coffee from LinkedIn in June 2020, SCRUM with a Coffee from LinkedIn in June 2020, and AWS Developer: Building on AWS from edX in November 2018.
