Richard Gannon is the current treasurer at Silver Hill Hospital. Before that, they were the Chief Operating Officer at Consumer Reports from June 2013 to January 2015. Richard was responsible for developing and managing operating plans to facilitate the company’s transformation and strategic plan and ensure resources, investment and infrastructure are in place. Richard led the Operations Leadership Team and had a lead role in developing the new strategic plan. Richard was directly accountable for divisional performance including testing & editorial, digital, mobile and print products, business development, information technology, marketing and communication. Richard managed ten direct reports and P&L of $225 million.
During their time at Consumer Reports, they led reprioritization of annual operating plan initiatives and growth investments requiring “trade-off” decisions, improving cross-divisional alignment and staff communication resulting in a focused and achievable plan and budget. Richard also developed and implemented strategies for digital and print products, including investment in lean and agile product development methods, resulting in the release of new mobile apps, a major magazine revamp and new product prototypes. In addition, they established new 1-3 year product and content creation strategies. Richard led cross-organizational efforts resulting in new consumer centric and data-driven product approaches and establishment of product portfolio management.
