Francis Jefferson has a diverse work experience in the gaming and tribal industry. Francis most recently worked as an Economic Planner for the Lummi Indian Business Council since December 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Gaming Auditor for the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe starting in July 2021. Francis also held the position of Director of Surveillance and Compliance at the Silver Reef Casino Resort since February 2016. In addition, Francis worked as an Instructor at the Northwest Indian College starting in January 2016. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Tribal Gaming Auditor for the Lummi Tribal Gaming Agency from November 2007. Before that, they were a part of the Swinomish Tribal Gaming Agency from June 1997 to November 2007. Francis' earliest work experience in the industry was at the Lummi Casino, where they worked from August 1991 to April 1997.
Francis Jefferson completed their high school education at Ferndale High School from 1982 to 1986, earning a High School Diploma. In 2013, they then pursued further studies at Northwest Indian College for a Bachelor's degree in Tribal Governance Business Management, where they graduated in 2016. The field of study for their Bachelor's degree is also Tribal Governance Business Management.
