Ian James has extensive experience in the digital marketing and technology sector. Ian is currently serving as the Global Board Director, Chief Data Tech and Analytics Officer at Local Planet since January 2019. Prior to that, they founded and served as the CEO of Fluency, a global transformation services company based in London since January 2016.
Ian also co-founded and served as the CEO of Silverbullet, a data and technology services company that emphasizes the use of human intelligence and machine learning to optimize data assets. Ian started their role at Silverbullet in January 2016 and is still active in the position.
Ian's previous experience includes working as the GM, International at Verve Mobile from March 2016 to May 2018. Before that, they served as the European Managing Director and GVP at Acxiom UK from August 2014 to March 2016.
Ian's experience also extends to Starcom MediaVest Group, where they held the position of Chief Digital Officer EMEA and Dynamic Markets from November 2010 to July 2014.
Prior to that, they worked at Aegis Media as the Vice President Aegis Media Global, where they focused on driving the strategic vision for clients' brands and developing the global and local Aegis network's digital capability. Ian started this role in August 2008 and continued until November 2010.
Before joining Aegis Media, Ian served as the Global Head of Digital at Bacardi Ltd from February 2006 to August 2008. In this role, they were responsible for all global integrated digital marketing and operations for the Bacardi brand portfolio.
