Maryann Hanratty

Maryann Hanratty has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Maryann is currently the Director of Design at SilverCloud, a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to this, Maryann was the Design Lead at SilverCloud from January 2021 to December 2022. Maryann started their career at SilverCloud as a Senior UX Designer in August 2013 and held this position until January 2021.

Before joining SilverCloud, Maryann worked as a Freelancer at New Media Development from January 2012 to July 2013. Maryann also worked as a Lecturer in Interaction Design at Loughborough University from September 2012 to March 2013.

One of Maryann's notable roles was as an Interaction Designer at Martello Media, where they spent four years working on museum exhibitions. Maryann was involved in developing interactive exhibits and immersive spaces for renowned institutions such as HMS Belfast, the National Media Museum, the Churchill museum, the Glasnevin Cemetery Museum, the Guinness Storehouse, and the National Library of Ireland.

Maryann's earlier experience includes working as a Web Design Analyst at Gordian Technologies from October 2007 to January 2008 and as a Product Designer at Boramic Ltd. from July 2005 to August 2006.

Maryann Hanratty has a diverse education history. In 2000 to 2004, they attended the National College of Art and Design in Dublin and obtained a Bachelor of Design (BDes) degree in Industrial Design. Following that, from 2006 to 2007, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Multimedia Systems at Trinity College Dublin. In 2020 to 2021, they attended the Parsons School of Design - The New School and earned a degree in Human-Centered Healthcare with a focus on Design. Most recently, in 2022 to 2023, Maryann Hanratty enrolled in Grow Design Leaders & Irish Design Institute to complete a Design Management Professional Diploma.
