Charles Gunter, PMP, ZTX-I

Charles Gunter, a PMP and ZTX-I, has extensive work experience dating back to 1985. Charles served as a Master Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy until 2012, obtaining the role of Intelligence Manager and Inspector General Inspector/Investigator. Charles later worked at Navy Information Operations Command Maryland, which they managed, providing training to Cryptologic trainees for two years. Additionally, they served as the Operations Directorate Manager at Naval Information Warfare Activity. For the last decade, they have worked at Varen Technologies as a Systems Engineer, leading teams and mentoring personnel on the DoD Cybersecurity Analysis & Review methodology. Moreover, they have served as a board member for Ride of Silence since 2021 and was a member of the Anne Arundel County Bicycle Advisory Commission from 2015. Lastly, they recently started working at SilverEdge Government Solutions as a Senior System Engineer in 2022.

Charles Gunter, PMP, ZTX-I earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Government & Politics and History from University of Maryland Global Campus in the year 2000, and their Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the same institution in the year 2006. Charles has also obtained several certifications, including the Forrester Zero Trust, Graduate Certificate in Systems Analysis from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute. Most recently, they obtained the ATT&CK® Security Operations Center Assessment Fundamentals Badge and ATT&CK® Fundamentals Badge from MITRE Engenuity in 2022.
