Marthinus du Toit

Marthinus du Toit is an experienced sommeliers with a substantial background in the wine and hospitality industry. Currently serving as Head Sommelier at Silversea Cruises since July 2024, Marthinus previously held the same position at Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa from February 2024 to January 2025, and has been a Sommelier with Silversea Cruises from September 2022 to February 2024. Marthinus also worked as Tasting Room Manager at Noble Hill Wine Estate from September 2021 to September 2022 and has experience in sales and stock sourcing from roles at BROCOR PROPERTIES and AMS. Educational qualifications include certifications from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and the Cape Wine Academy, alongside ongoing studies for a BSc in Maritime Business at BCA College.
