Jim Quagliaroli

Managing Partner at Silversmith Capital Partners

Jim co-founded Silversmith Capital Partners in 2015. Jim focuses on investments across the firm’s two core verticals, SaaS & Information Services and Healthcare IT & Services. Over his career, he has served on the board of 20+ tech companies.

Jim partners with passionate founders of growing SaaS companies focused on product leadership. His software investments are targeted on supporting competitive, team-oriented CEOs who want to invest in aggressive go-to-market initiatives to drive growth. His career in growth equity started in college 25 years ago as a summer intern at Summit Partners, where he sat next to Todd MacLean by day, and lived in his parents’ basement by night.

Prior to Silversmith, Jim spent 13 years at Spectrum Equity, serving as a Managing Director since 2009. At Spectrum Equity, Jim sourced, led, and served on the board of numerous enterprise SaaS, information services, and healthcare IT companies. Among the highlights were JetBlue flights to Tampa with Jeff Crisan attending MedHOK board meetings.

Jim grew up in Needham, and lives with his wife, son, and daughter in Cambridge. He loves the Boston Celtics, is a rabid EPL fan, and has learned that he is a better coach than player. A recipient of the John P. Reardon '60 Award, given annually to Harvard's top male scholar athlete, Jim has served on the Advisory Board of the Harvard Varsity Club (HVC) since 1997, and currently serves on the board of Friends of Harvard Soccer (FHS). He serves as a Trustee of The Roxbury Latin School, where he is a member of the Finance and Investment Committees.
