Sounil Biswas

Sounil Biswas has a wealth of experience in the engineering field. Sounil began their career in 2001 as a Hardware Design Intern at Transwitch. In 2002, they became a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2008, they joined NVIDIA as the Manager of the Advanced Technology Group, where they architected and implemented all aspects of DFT, and lead the development and implementation of novel DFT techniques. In 2015, they moved to Intel Corporation as an Engineering Lead, where they were the DFT/DFx lead for the flagship product. In 2016, they joined Marvell Semiconductor as the Director of Engineering, where they worked on and managed IC architecture, RTL design, UVM-based DV, DFT, physical design of select blocks, sensors, timing closure, etc. Sounil is currently the Director of Silicon Engineering at SiMa.ai, a role they have held since 2022.

Sounil Biswas received their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 2002. Sounil then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, which they completed in 2004. Sounil continued their studies at Carnegie Mellon University, earning their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2008.
