Carl Sobie

Carl Sobie is an experienced aviation instructor and pilot with a diverse background in training and flight operations. Currently serving as an instructor at SIMCOM Aviation Training since August 2023, Carl has a strong history as a contract pilot since October 2013. Prior to their current role, Carl worked for FlightSafety International for nearly ten years as both a program manager and instructor, specializing in ground school and simulator training for various aircraft. Carl's flight experience includes significant time with SkyWest Airlines and Colgan Air, operating aircraft such as the CRJ series and DHC-8-Q400. Additionally, Carl has served in various roles within the aviation industry since 2002, demonstrating a commitment to safety and the effective training of pilots. Carl holds a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management from Southern Illinois University.
