Mohamad Helmy Othman Basha (HOB) has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Mohamad started their career at Shell as an Indirect Tax Advisor in 1995. After that, they joined Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad, where they held various roles including Marketing Director, Director of Business Development, and Director of Operations from 2003 to 2007. Mohamad then moved to Sime Darby Plantation as a Senior Vice President I, responsible for the Plantation Upstream division in Malaysia from 2007 to 2013. In 2014, they became the Managing Director of Chemara Palmea Holdings Bhd. Later, in 2016, they rejoined Sime Darby Plantation and held positions of Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Managing Director, and finally, Group Managing Director from 2016 to the present.

Mohamad Helmy Othman Basha (HOB) began their education at Newark Technical College in 1985, where they pursued A' Levels. After completing their A' Levels in 1986, they moved on to Nottingham Trent University, where they studied and completed ACCA Level 1 & Level 2 from 1986 to 1988. Additionally, in 1990, they attended Emile Woolf College of Accountancy in London and obtained the ACCA qualification.
